My name is Mrs. Jane Aguto I’m the driving force behind Aguto’s Love Foundation. I want to take a moment and share with you the deeply personal and profound reasons behind our mission. My life’s journey has been a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, as I emerged from a childhood marked by unimaginable adversity.

I grew up in Sierra Leone during a tumultuous period, marred by the ravages of war and the harsh reality of poverty. As a less privileged child, my family faced dire circumstances. We couldn’t afford the basics of life, and my daily trek to school was often without shoes, without a backpack, and without access to proper healthcare. Our family home was not spared in the conflict; it was burned to the ground, leaving us with nothing but the will to survive. Similarly, my husband, too, experienced the cruelties of war in South Sudan. He was one of the ‘lost boys,’ orphaned by the brutality of armed conflict, and like many, he had to navigate the world with little more than the scars of his past. These shared experiences, etched into the fabric of our lives, have left an indelible mark on our souls. But instead of succumbing to bitterness or despair, we were inspired to channel our hardships into a powerful force for good. It is because of these trials that we have dedicated ourselves to the cause of transforming the lives of young children and families facing adversity.
